It’s hard to come across somebody who doesn’t have some sort of connection to cancer, and this year’s Kick Cancer day at Schwan’s USA CUP showed an outpouring of support as players lined up to place their donations to our four selected charities on campus. But a unique element was added this year, creating another personal connection to the battle against cancer at USA CUP.
Every year at Schwan’s USA CUP, player safety remains the number one priority. High school students from the Opportunities in Emergency Health Care (OEC) program play a vital role in ensuring that USA CUP participants receive necessary medical care on a moment’s notice.
From U6 teams to the top soccer clubs in the world, practice makes perfect. Tomorrow morning, Schwan’s USA CUP visitors have the opportunity to observe the training routine of Minnesota’s own Major League Soccer professional team, Minnesota United FC.
