Schwan’s USA CUP won the battle with Mother Nature Tuesday evening, and Opening Ceremonies went off without a hitch despite a few passing storms leading up to the big show. The skies cleared and the sun was shining, setting the tone for what turned out to be the perfect evening of intermixing cultures, languages and experiences.
Many of the Schwan’s USA CUP’s thousands of visitors have aspirations to play soccer on the sport’s largest stage. Ismaila Jome, a former USA CUP player with a goal to play soccer professionally, lived out his dream when he signed with his hometown club, Minnesota United FC, in March of 2016.
Join us on Wednesday, July 19 as we kick cancer for the fifth year in a row. As the largest youth soccer tournament in the Western Hemisphere, we’re using our platform to give back to the community in a big way. Kick Cancer will be raising funds all day and spreading awareness with four hand-selected cancer charities representing their cause at the tournament.
