Our special section where we highlight the unique and special people that make Schwan's USA CUP an experience like no other in youth soccer. We feature players, coaches, parents, volunteers, and staff.
Bryz has been on the medical staff her at the National Sports Center for many years including 8 years at USA Cup. Him and the other medical staff are on standby all day, everyday to help players and guests. He loves to see local teams cheering for international teams. “I love how everyone comes together at this tournament and there is just so much enthusiasm and excitement between all the teams.” He says that’s what keeps him coming back every year.
This is ErinRose’s first year at USA Cup. Coming all the way across the states from New Jersey to intern, she has been busy since the first day being as she says the “mother” of all the refs. As a referee intern she assigns referees to all games and helps with their travel and stay at USA Cup. She says the hardest thing about her internship is learning how to prioritize because there are so many things to do. She loves the opportunity this job has given her to meet so many different people. When asked what the coolest thing about USA Cup is she said, “Although it’s a lot of hours, I get to do administrative work, but I also get to have so much face to face time and develop relationships with some of the refs and it makes all the time worth it.”
Friendships made while volunteering at USA CUP has made it an easy decision for Harry to keep coming back every year. For the last 26 years Harry has been volunteering his time to help out during USA CUP. Harry has a few pins himself, from Soviet Union, China, Spain, England and more. His earliest pin is from 1986 when he coached the Eagan soccer team in the USA CUP.
