BLAINE, Minn. (May 28, 2014) – Schwan’s USA CUP, the largest youth soccer tournament in the Western Hemisphere announced a partnership with INARIA, a Toronto-based designer and manufacturer of soccer equipment and a full-line of team sports apparel. Schwan’s USA CUP hosted 1,016 teams in 2013, from 17 states and 17 countries.
“Athletes come from around the world to participate in this premier event, expecting not only some of the best competition on the field but also to see the latest advancements in protection, technology and comfort on and off the field,” said Saverio Michielli, general manager of INARIA. “The partnership with Schwan’s USA CUP is the largest for INARIA since our founding in 1999, and we’re excited to showcase to players, coaches, administrators and parents both the premium quality INARIA delivers and the innovative technologies that go into our products at every level.”
Through this partnership, INARIA will have a retail presence to showcase its new soccer line. The latest product lineup features innovative new technologies, such as FLEXORB and 37.5™ technology, developed by Bauer Performance Sports, the parent company of INARIA.
FLEXORB is an innovative new material used in numerous protective products across the BPS platform. This soft-padded material form fits to an athlete and hardens on impact to deliver unprecedented protection without sacrificing comfort or mobility. It will be featured in the new INARIA shin pads and future soccer accessories.
37.5 technology is an advanced fast-drying moisture management system that will be integrated into elite INARIA apparel and base layer. Fabric infused with this revolutionary technology dries up to six times faster than competitive products. As a result, the athlete spends less energy trying to stay cool and dry, and has more energy to put into their game.
“We could not be more excited to present innovative INARIA products to our Schwan’s USA CUP players and coaches,” said Kara Radeke, tournament director. “This is a partnership that will benefit both Schwan’s USA CUP and INARIA, but most importantly, it will benefit the thousands of youth players at the tournament.”
The 30th annual Schwan’s USA CUP, which is projected to again attract over 1,000 teams, will take place July 11 - 19 at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minn. The tournament is unique as the only one of its size in the world that holds all its games on a single continuous campus, which is convenient for players, scouts and fans as well as more efficient and impactful for sponsors.
