Target USA CUP Weekend Tournament wraps up with championship games Sunday, July 14

After a day off, tournament resumes Tuesday

BLAINE, Minn. (July 13, 2019) – Championship games for all divisions of the Target USA CUP Weekend Tournament will be held Sunday, July 14.

After a day off on Monday, Target USA CUP will resume on Tuesday, July 16. The Opening Ceremonies will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening. Featured will be the traditional Olympic-style parade of teams, fireworks, a demonstration jump by the Target Sky Dive Team, special guest appearance by former U.S. National Team player Jimmy Conrad, and a post-ceremony concert.

This year’s tournament features 1,152 teams from 22 states and 19 countries, making it the largest youth soccer tournament in the Western Hemisphere. The weekend and week-long tournaments together will generate an estimated $36.4 million in economic impact, including $28.5 million from visitors alone.

Championship games will be held throughout the day on Sunday. Championship matchups will be determined after Sunday morning semifinal games. The championship award ceremonies will be held immediately after each game ends, at the Target Stage in the Target Village.

All championship game scores will be sent out Sunday evening.
