Mexican team earns USA CUP trip by winning Chevrolet Cup championship

Every team is vying for the championship at Schwan’s USA CUP. But one team from Mexico already felt like winners just stepping on campus.

Soccer mom Jennifer Kuhn stays busy during USA CUP. She has four different children to cheer on during the tournament, four different countries to represent and four different schedules to keep track of.

Only two of the players are her biological children, but the Wisconsin family has extended “relatives” in Spain that they claim as their own. It only makes sense that this multicultural connection would culminate at USA CUP.

Schwan’s USA CUP is about so much more than just soccer. The tournament is about the relationships and connections made with people from across the world through the game of soccer. One family who has been at USA CUP since day one is the Lagos family.

The 17 boys from Crown Trace FC in Trinidad and Tobago got a surprise from a familiar face while taking a tour of the Minnesota United FC locker room. Waiting for the team at the end of the tour was Trinidadian midfield for MNUFC Kevin Molino.
