Field managers are the lifeblood of the tournament! As a field manager, you're the first point of contact and information for tournament attendees and referees. You're stationed at a field manager tent in the middle of the action and you get to watch from one to four fields of soccer games at a time. You help games get started on time, answer questions from curious parents and players, make tournament headquarters aware of game start times and any problems on the field, summon medical personnel if needed, and assist the referees stationed at your tent. If you like meeting new people and watching soccer, this is the place for you.
Certified first responders, EMTs, paramedics or athletic trainers are stationed at field manager tents or on one of seven specially modified medical carts to provide emergency care and, if necessary, transport to on-site medical facility. Medical supplies and radios provided. Review on use of cervical collars, backboarding and automated defibrillation provided at orientation prior to the tournament for all new volunteers.
