Unidad 98’s win USA Cup soccer tournament

Regina, Saskatchewan (Regina Leader-Post, July 22, 2012) -- The Unidad 98’s under-14 boys soccer team, from Regina, on Saturday became the first Saskatchewan boys team to win a title at the U.S.A. Cup tournament in Minneapolis.

Eclipse, Phoenix soccer teams earn silver medals in Minnesota

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (Fairbanks Daily News-Miner, July 23, 2012) -- The Eclipse and Phoenix soccer clubs reached three finals in USA Cup tournaments during the past two weeks in Blaine, Minn. The Eclipse 2001 and 99 girls teams and the Phoenix 99 boys squad advanced to championship games of the USA Cup Weekend on July 13-15 and the Eclipse 2001 played for the under-age 11 girls gold division title in the USA Cup on July 17 through Saturday. USA Cup champions crowned

Blaine, Minn. (ABC Newspapers, July 23, 2012) -- Championship games for all divisions of the 28th annual Schwan’s USA Cup were played on Saturday, July 21, at the National Sports Center (NSC) in Blaine. Minnesota teams won four of the 16 top-level championships. International visiting teams from Canada, Mexico, Norway and Japan won titles.

USA Cup Week-Long Tourney Wrap-Up

The U-14 boys' group emerged from the Schwan's USA Cup soccer tournament crowned as champions and even avenged an opening-round loss to the Brooklyn Italians in the process. But the tournament's conclusion meant the team would have to say goodbye to teammate and friend Marcus Jones.
