They come from diverse backgrounds, a variety of ages, have a wealth of experience, and ALL share one thing in common, they care about USA CUP! Come join us…whether you’re a participant or spectator, youth or adult, local or visiting, we have a place for you. Be a part of the USA CUP experience. Next steps:
Below are some of the various volunteer positions available during Schwan's USA CUP.
Volunteers play fundamental roles in the facilitation of activities and are the reason that a vast selection of opportunities can be offered to tournament participants. Possible duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with athlete and VIP/Coach parties, staffing off-site activities to Bunker Beach, Twins game, and Brunswick Zone. Chaperones for dances and off-site activities must be 21 years of age or older.
Present winning teams with trophies/medals after completion of championship games on Sunday, July 14, 2013 and Saturday, July 20, 2013.
As Minnesota's largest tourism event we want to welcome our guests properly. Volunteers meet the teams and referees at the airport and assist them with tournament information and connect them to the Schwan's USA CUP transportation. Lots of walking so great opportunity to get exercise!
Field managers are the lifeblood of the tournament! As a field manager, you're stationed at a field manager tent in the middle of the action and you get to watch the games. You help games get started on time, answer questions from curious parents and players, make tournament headquarters aware of any problems on the field, summon medical personnel if needed, and assist the referees stationed at your tent. If you like meeting new people and watching soccer, this is the place for you.
Work as an interpreter while acting as a host and liaison for international teams during the week. Languages needed for the tournament include French, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish.
Organization of the team entrance, access control, ushers, set-up/tear-down for the Opening Ceremony on Tuesday, July 16, 2013.
Adult drivers for on-site referee transport during the week.
Come help in one of the most exciting places at Schwan’s USA CUP, the Schwan Sideline, an interactive family fun zone located in The Hub. Help distribute samples and ice cream, and most of all make sure people are relaxed and enjoying themselves.
