He is jogging around the pitch with tape on his wrist and a pair of cleats that would make the most avid player envious. Although the game hasn’t been Federico Olive’s best performance, the nine-year-old keeps hustling down the reduced-size field trying to find room to maneuver.
At an age where most kid’s soccer experiences revolve around having fun, learning the game and eating halftime snacks, Federico is playing a completely different game.

The U12 Stars won the Kick Cancer Fundraising Challenge Wednesday by fundraising a total of $570 to be donated among the four cancer organizations represented at the National Sports Center on Kick Cancer Day, Children's Cancer Research Fund, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Pennies for Patients, Breast Cancer Awareness Association, and the Colon Cancer Coalition.
