Saeed is at USA CUP for the first time this year, and he volunteered as a way to meet new people. So far he has managed a field featuring a team from Japan, and everyone at the tournament has been very friendly.
Mike has been volunteering with Schwan’s USA CUP for 30 years, and he says "it’s the best week of the year." One of the most exciting parts of the tournament for Mike so far has been meeting second generation players, whose parents played in USA CUP when they were kids.
Deneige (right in photo) is a player on Minnesota Thunder Academy and Jasmine is her cousin. Deneige has been an important part of the team’s undefeated record by scoring three goals so far, and is looking forward to playoffs tomorrow.
This is João’s first time at USA CUP, and so far it has been an adventure. On their way to Minnesota, they missed the connecting flight in Miami because of a long wait in the immigration department. João will play in the Weeklong Tournament starting Tuesday.
