BLAINE, Minn. (March 5, 2013) –Schwan’s USA CUP, the international youth soccer tournament held at the National Sports Center in Blaine, announced a new partnership with Eastbay, a leading global retailer of athletic shoes, clothing, and equipment. This pairing will deliver an interactive and educational retail sales experience to help young athletes develop their skills and knowledge.
As the official on-site retailer, Eastbay will manage the on-site retail store during the tournament, which will be located in the Sport Expo Center. Eastbay promises to create an experience that allows elite young soccer players to do more than pick out the newest turf or indoor gear; athletes will also be able to get advice from Eastbay’s on-site experts on which gear is best for them.
Unlike previous years, when the USA CUP retail store featured merchandise from a single manufacturer, in recent years PUMA, the new Eastbay designed store will offer gear from multiple manufacturers.
“When an event brings on a new partner, there is always the opportunity to pioneer new programs and look at things through new eyes,” said tournament director Kara Radeke. “Shopping at the USA CUP retail store is a major part of the tournament experience for our teams and fans. Working together with Eastbay, we think we can really take the store to a new level.”
