Guest Player Program
Coaches, are you short of players due to injury or other commitments? Aren't having any luck finding a player to complete your roster? Then the USA CUP Guest Player Program is for you. It connects coaches with players who want to have the USA CUP experience.

Guest Players Seeking a Team
- Application deadline is July 1. Only players registered with a USSF or FIFA affiliated association are eligible.
- Complete the online application.
- Interested coaches will contact you directly.
- If you are picked up by a team:
- Notify guestplayerprogram@nscsports.org immediately.
- Obtain individual permission to travel from your state association, non-Minnesota players only. This process varies among states. It may be a letter or a player loan/release form signed by an authorized representative of your state association releasing you to guest play.
- Player fee payable by VISA or MasterCard at time of application. Payment will not be processed unless placed with a team. Placement is not guaranteed. Guest Player Fee: $125. If you are staying in the dorm with the team, the housing fee must be paid prior to Final Team Check-in. Contact guestplayerprogram@nscsports.org for directions.
- Obtain your player pass from your regular season coach.
- Your tournament coach will not be able to complete Final Team Check-in without your player pass, causing unnecessary delays. Either get your player pass to the coach prior to Final Team Check-in or check in yourself prior to the coach's arrival at Final Team Check-in.
- Be prepared with the name of your team and the team's tournament ID number for faster service at Final Team Check-in.
Coaches Seeking Guest Players
Guest Player Request
- Complete the Guest Player Request above. This email request informs the guest player coordinator of the age, gender, position and skill level of the player(s) you are seeking. Maximum of 6 guest players permitted per team.
- A list of potential guest players will be emailed to you.
- Contact players directly.
- Notify guest player coordinator immediately once you have picked up a player.
- You will not be able to complete Final Team Check-in without all player passes, causing unnecessary delays and maybe even a return trip to Final Team Check-in. Either make arrangements with your guest player to secure the player pass in advance of Final Team Check-in or have your guest player check in prior to your arrival at Final Team Check-in. Copies of player passes are not accepted.
Guest Player Rules
- Player must be a registered youth player and possess a current youth player pass.
- Players that are age eligible, but are registerd with an adult league are not eligible to participate.
- The tournament(s) are sanctioned for up to 6 guest players per team. Tournament staff cannot authorize additional players. However, it is not uncommon for teams to merge for the purpose of playing in the tournament(s). Contact your state association/provincial district for reclassified as a tournament team for the purpose of playing in the tournament(s).
- For game format and corresponding roster sizes, review tournament rules.
- Players may play up or down. A player on a U16 team may also guest play on a U15 team and vice versa, if age eligible.
- Girls may play on boys’ teams; boys may not play on girls’ teams.
- Players may guest play or double roster on one team in addition to their primary team, providing they are not playing on a team in the same age bracket and flight.
- International homestay players may not double roster.
- Games will not be scheduled to accommodate double rostered players.
- The player fee for a double rostered player must be paid on the player’s primary team; it will be waived on the player’s secondary team.
- Email registrar@usacup.org with the name of the double rostered player(s) and the name of their primary and secondary teams prior to July 10.
- Non-Minnesota guest players must obtain individual permission to travel from their respective state associations/provincial districts. It may be a letter or a player loan/release form signed by an authorized representative of the state association/provincial district.
- Premier players may not guest play on Medal Flight teams in SCHWAN'S USA CUP.
- Guest Player Fees: $125
